Because he is so sensitive to brightness, he rotates his bedside time around and out of sight so as not to disturb his sleep, but this means he can't just glance at the time before dozing off again.
I beegan my search for the best alarm clock with dim light, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that there are great options out there to control the often overly large and bright numbers that can really get in the way of a good night's sleep!
My criteria for this was very, very simple - I needed some way to be able to turn down the brightness of the numbers. And I definitely was looking for something that was visually appealing at the same time.
Beyond that, I had an open mind, and I was thrilled to see such a wide variety of really great options! Take a look at my top five below, I bet you'll find one that you love.
Do you like to read in bed? This comes with a nightlight that can be turned on and off with the simple press of a button, and offers enough light for reading before bed.
Are you a heavy sleeper? The alarm has low and high volume settings just for you. The snooze lasts for 9 minutes.
Simple to operate, all the features you need, and the price is right. This is a perfect choice for those who value simplicity.
Just as you can easily adjust the brightness, you can also adjust the volume of the alarm using an identical slider button. My daughter wears earplugs and needs a loud alarm, and I prefer a softer alarm. This can work for anybody.
It does feature two USB ports on the back for charging your phones at night, very convenient indeed.
All in all, this is a solid option for a great price.
Have you used a sunrise alarm clock before? That means it features sunrise simulation (and also sunset simulation) to wake you up more naturally. People love this.
And I don't even know where to begin with the other features! Connect your mobile device via the app for your settings, compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, 20 levels of brightness for waking, has FM radio, 7 alarm sounds, and works as a bedside lamp...you get the idea.
If you are someone who loves lots of options and features, this one is without a doubt for you!
I love this small, minimalist wood bedside option with wonderful white numbers. There are four options for adjusting the illumination, so there is an option for all. It's a very compact size which appeals to many. You can also set the LED to drop to the lowest setting between 6pm and 7am.
It does have a USB in the back, so you can charge a phone or attach it to the new cable boxes with no clocks, the sky is the limit here.
It has a 5 inch LED display and six adjustable brightness levels, so anyone should be able to find what works perfectly for them.
It has three different alarm sounds along with adjustable volume controls, and a big snooze button with a nine minute snooze.
And let's face it, it looks awesome for a great price! You can't go wrong with this one.
